Membership Levels and BenefitsAdopter MemberSubject to the terms of the Service Availability™ Adopters Agreement, adopters may register their products that comply with the Service Availability Forum™ product registration requirements and may also use their association with the Service Availability Forum™ to promote those products. Adopter membership requires a $2,000 annual commitment. Contributor MembersContributor Members participate in specification work groups, attend meetings, receive early access to specifications, and may use Service Availability Forum™ trademarks. Responsibilities include providing intellectual property to the Service Availability Forum™, review and comment on specifications, and providing either technical or marketing resources. Companies interested in joining as a contributor should be prepared to
attend face-to-face meetings which are held approximately every 2 months.
Additionally, members should be prepared to participate on the various
technical and marketing committees engaged in the work of the Forum. Contributor membership requires a $10,000 annual commitment. Associate Members NEW!Academic researchers interested in participating in the Service Availability Forum™ can do so by joining as an Associate Member. Associate Members participate in specification workgroups, attend meetings, and review and comment on preliminary drafts of specifications. Responsibilities include providing technical resources and review and comment on specifications. Academics interested in joining as an associate should be prepared to submit annual reviews and participate in the various technical committees engaged in the work of the Forum. Associate membership requires Promoter sponsorship and is subject to approval by the Board of Directors. There is no membership fee. Promoter MembersPromoter Members can participate on the Service Availability Forum™ Board of Directors and can help guide SA Forum policies. Promoter Members can vote on bylaw changes, vote on and hold officer positions, participate in specification work groups and vote on the ratification of final specifications. Promoter Members are responsible for providing significant contributions of intellectual property, technical and marketing resources. Promoter membership requires a $25,000 annual commitment and is subject to approval by the Board of Directors. Self-Certification ProgramThe Service Availability Forum™ Self-Certification Program enables members to list products and state their implementation methodology to the Service Availability Forum™ Product Registry Web site. Compliance with all registration requirements enables adopters to label their products as "Service Availability Forum™ Registered." |
